Biography

Fiona Spitzkowsky is a writer, editor and theatre-maker with a keen interest in developing new work for the stage. She has worked closely with ATYP, as a National Studio participant in 2014, and a writer for the Voices Project and participant in the Fresh Ink Mentorship program in 2015. She has also penned sketches for Disability Media’s What’s Wrong With U? She was a Creative Producer for the 2015 Emerging Writers’ Festival and the Editor of Express Media's Buzzcuts program. As a director Fiona has worked primarily with Shakespeare, directing Twelfth Night (Cycle Productions 2013),  The Taming of the Shrew (MUSC 2015) and currently a new adaptation of Macbeth which will take to the stage at Scratch Warehouse in May 2016. Fiona began work with Attic Erratic as an intern on Purgatorio and The City They Burned before becoming assistant director for the Melbourne Fringe Festival season of Tripped and co-producer for its Adelaide and Edinburgh Fringe seasons.
