BIOGRAPHY

Jason Cavanagh graduated from the National Theatre Drama School in 2004 and has since performed in many of the theatres around Melbourne, a Shakespeare festival in England and a few television shows including the right of passage for every Melbourne actor- Neighbours.
In 2009 he founded his own Melbourne theatre called The Owl and the Pussycat and also co founded 5pound theatre. In 2014 he sold The Owl but continues to run 5pound theatre which now concentrates on sight specific and touring shows.
Some of Jason’s most recent roles include Uncle Peck from How I Learned to Drive, produced by Mockingbird Theatre, Martin in Robert Reid’s Joy of Text as well as the Director in Noises Off which he also actually directed for 5pound theatre.
Jason has just returned from performing Pugatorio in perth and his next project will be to direct a production of Titus Andronicus as part of 5pound theatres up coming season. They will also be taking Purgatorio to the Hollywood Fringe Festival in July.
